Bella Invites in WedLuxe

I love, love, LOVE this hot new issue of WedLuxe! It's the Winter/Spring 2010 issue - and doesn't the cover just say "pure glam elegance"??!! It hit news stands this week, so if you are a bride who loves gorgeousness (and who doesn't?) I suggest you rush out and scoop one up!

Plus - I'm so thrilled to let you know that we were asked by the super talented event designer Cindy Johnson from Platinum Events Group to participate in an exclusive Ralph Lauren-inspired wedding photoshoot! So of course we said "YES"!

Check out these photos, clean lines, classy nautical accents, white and navy blue with hits of yellow....so airy and fresh looking! If you are getting married anyway near a lake or ocean, this look would be perfect.

Here is a close up of the "tea-length" invitation and monogram that we designed, it features a simple compass motif.

Monogram printed on the chair cover....and close up of the Place Cards (with a bit of "bling" of course!)

Here is a list of the other talented players involved in making this shoot possible:

Producer & Planner: Cindy Johnson - Platinum Events Group
Photographer: John Edgar
Cake: The Caketress
Floral Design & Decor: Fuscia Designs
Location: Palais Royale

A big thank you to Cindy Johnson and WedLuxe magazine asking us to be a part of this story! xoxo

Write Style

We recently completed a stylish pink personalized stationery set for Suzanne Rogers (with letterhead and matching pink envelopes) for all of her handwritten correspondence. In a world of "virtual communication" it's so refreshing to receive a beautiful handwritten note! You may remember the custom handmade silk wedding invitation we designed for her wedding to Edward Rogers a few years ago?
This is a perfect example of how you can actually use your custom monogram (which we designed for them) even after the wedding. You can get stationery made or print it on your towels, on your luggage, etc. It's an elegant and timeless way of celebrating your union - even years later!

Kerry Anne & Steven I

Ok, are you ready for some seriously magazine-worthy eye candy? Stunning Fall shades that will inspire your own seasonal soiree? I couldn't decide on which photos to post so I made 2 collages for you - these beautiful photos are all by the oh-so-super-talented East Hill Photo.

On October 25th our clients, Kerry Anne & Steven were married at Orange Beach, Alabama - the weather was perfect and so were the bride and groom! The reception was held in a large white tent on the beach at The Caribe Resort. We custom designed their shimmery chocolate brown and ivory invitations and added a simple "S" Monogram. The monogram was on their Save-the-Dates, Invitations, Reply Cards, Envelopes, Ceremony Programs and Thank You Cards. The printing was raised (thermography) in a chocolate brown ink to give it all that wonderful tactile feel.

I just LOVE all the colors that they used, in everything from the flowers, to the table settings to the colorful food stations that served everything from sushi to local favorites. Their super talented event planner was Julie Shreck with Simply You Weddings, check out her gorgeous work on her website!

Enjoy....more to come today!

Taryn & Marvin

Ok, it's been a while (a long while) since I've had a moment around here to actually post anything - we have been super busy with our Fall weddings and rush orders...and now I can finally get caught up with the important postings!

Without further delay, here is a Real Weddings feature from Taryn and Marvin's fresh and breezy Summer wedding in June. They were married at the gorgeous Belle Mer oceanside venue in Newport, Rhode Island. The weather and the setting was ideal for the white themed wedding, Taryn's dress was by Carolina Herrera and their photographer was Kristen Spencer.

We designed a custom monogram for them which was featured on their custom wedding invitation and cards and also throughout their wedding day on their menus, champagne glasses, gift bags and Godiva favors. I think a monogram or a custom motif is such a special way to add that unified personalized touch to all of your wedding elements.

Fabulous Fall Invites

We hope everyone had a relaxing Labor Day, now that Fall is approaching we can showcase some of our Fall wedding invitations. Above is one of the recent custom designs that we created for a super sweet bride named Kerry Anne. They are getting married at a church by the beach and then having a huge party under a white tent on the beach and lots of fabulous food! Her colors are ivory and chocolate brown and she still wanted her invite to have a formal and romantic feeling. We designed a custom monogram for her and printed the square invitation in raised brown ink on ivory shimmery cardstock, which is mounted on chocolate brown shimmery cardstock. We look forward to posting some of her wedding photos after her big day!

Styling your Aisle

Customized aisle runners are the latest way to come down the aisle with style! The photo above was from a wedding we did last year (Georgia & George) and they had a custom aisle runner made (by an aisle runner company) using the monogram we designed for them which was handcrafted in crystals! Love it!

These images are from the The Original Aisle Runner Company, they can design a runner for you in a solid or pattern or handbeaded with crystal embellishments, the sky is the limit!

As you can see from this photo, they designed the runner for The Bachelorette's Trista & Ryan's pink and pretty wedding. Remember that lavish wedding? And the best part is that they are still together....awwww, maybe true love can actually be found on reality television!

Cake Bling!

Ok, there are so many things that I love about weddings...but two of my favorites are mongrams and bling...ok and cake, so three favorites! I just happened across Toppers with Glitz the other day and was blown away by the gorgeous cake topper monograms all embellished with Swarovski crystals! Sari (the designer) has a rainbow of crystals to choose from and she can work with any monogram design - either from your graphic designer or you can create your own from her extensive font list.

These gorgeous little letters can always be framed along with your couture invitation (of course) as a keepsake after your wedding...or used as a wonderful "blingy" Christmas tree ornament. It's hard to decide but I think I really like the two-toned blue & white "W", it's so elegant. Which one is your fave?

Stacey & Ryan

For Stacey and Ryan's romantic wedding we created a custom design that was a soft ivory colour to complement her Vera Wang dress and her gorgeous reception location at The Carlu in Toronto.

Designed a custom monogram in soft shades of gray, a big puffy satin ribbon bow in ivory took center stage on their invitation and it was all wrapped in a beautiful white box. We did the calligraphy for the escort cards (guest's table number was inside the envelope) and also designed their menus which were framed and sat on the elegant tables.

Their gorgeous photos were done by 5ive15ifteen Photo Company.

Jaymie & Robert

Jaymie and Robert had a beautiful wedding at the Mississaugua Golf & Country Club, their invitation was an elegant mix of pink and black - featuring a black satin ribbon fashioned into a bow along the bottom of the invitation. We created a very simple "B" monogram for them and carried it throughout their coordinating items, such as the ceremony program, place cards and favour tags. Thanks so much for sharing your photos! Georgia & George {a monogram and a marriage}

I love monograms, they are a wonderful way to "personally brand" your wedding day and give it a unique and seamless look. I wanted to featured the monogram we designed for Georgia & George (how cute are their names?) using their first initials and the initial of the new last name.

Georgia was so thrilled with this custom monogram that she decided to base her entire wedding decor around it (we were so honoured!). The monogram was on the invitations (she went with the Prestige Collection's "Satin" design), menus, programs, place cards, in crystal beads hand-sewn onto a custom aisle runner, carved into an ice sculpture and beamed across the dance floor! To see more photos from this fairytale wedding, go to "Gallery" and then "Featured Weddings" on our website.

Their gorgeous wedding photography was done by Ira Lippke Studios.

Our custom monogram designs are complimentary when you place your invitation order with us.
