I love, love, LOVE this hot new issue of WedLuxe! It's the Winter/Spring 2010 issue - and doesn't the cover just say "pure glam elegance"??!! It hit news stands this week, so if you are a bride who loves gorgeousness (and who doesn't?) I suggest you rush out and scoop one up!
Plus - I'm so thrilled to let you know that we were asked by the super talented event designer Cindy Johnson from Platinum Events Group to participate in an exclusive Ralph Lauren-inspired wedding photoshoot! So of course we said "YES"!
Check out these photos, clean lines, classy nautical accents, white and navy blue with hits of yellow....so airy and fresh looking! If you are getting married anyway near a lake or ocean, this look would be perfect.
Here is a close up of the "tea-length" invitation and monogram that we designed, it features a simple compass motif.
Monogram printed on the chair cover....and close up of the Place Cards (with a bit of "bling" of course!)

Kerry Anne & Steven I

Ok, are you ready for some seriously magazine-worthy eye candy? Stunning Fall shades that will inspire your own seasonal soiree? I couldn't decide on which photos to post so I made 2 collages for you - these beautiful photos are all by the oh-so-super-talented East Hill Photo.
On October 25th our clients, Kerry Anne & Steven were married at Orange Beach, Alabama - the weather was perfect and so were the bride and groom! The reception was held in a large white tent on the beach at The Caribe Resort. We custom designed their shimmery chocolate brown and ivory invitations and added a simple "S" Monogram. The monogram was on their Save-the-Dates, Invitations, Reply Cards, Envelopes, Ceremony Programs and Thank You Cards. The printing was raised (thermography) in a chocolate brown ink to give it all that wonderful tactile feel.
I just LOVE all the colors that they used, in everything from the flowers, to the table settings to the colorful food stations that served everything from sushi to local favorites. Their super talented event planner was Julie Shreck with Simply You Weddings, check out her gorgeous work on her website!
Enjoy....more to come today!

Destination Celebrations
.jpg)
.jpg)
More and more couples are deciding to get exotic with their weddings and are planning to be destination weddings. While beach weddings are still most popular, as you can see by the first 2 invitations that we designed - some couples prefer European destinations such as Italy or Spain. In the last photo, our couple Elisa and Scott took some gorgeous photos when they went "scouting" for their Sicilian wedding and they wanted to use them in their invitation. We incorporated 3 of their photos into their design and the result is a completely unique and custom look. If you have some special photos that you would like to use in your invitation, feel free to contact us to discuss the possibilities!
Fabulous Fall Invites
.jpg)
We hope everyone had a relaxing Labor Day, now that Fall is approaching we can showcase some of our Fall wedding invitations. Above is one of the recent custom designs that we created for a super sweet bride named Kerry Anne. They are getting married at a church by the beach and then having a huge party under a white tent on the beach and lots of fabulous food! Her colors are ivory and chocolate brown and she still wanted her invite to have a formal and romantic feeling. We designed a custom monogram for her and printed the square invitation in raised brown ink on ivory shimmery cardstock, which is mounted on chocolate brown shimmery cardstock. We look forward to posting some of her wedding photos after her big day!

Christina & Nathan

We love it when our wonderful clients send us their photos from their special day! We are thrilled to show you the pics from the super cute couple Christina & Nathan. They were married in May of this year and we designed a custom pocket folder invitation for them in an ivory linen cardstock, it was encircled with a sage green satin ribbon belly band and had pale blush shimmer cardstock cards inside. We also designed a custom monogram featuring a tree motif as their ceremony was held picturesque outdoor setting among the lush trees and beside a waterfall.
We also designed their coordinating Save-the-Dates, Ceremony Programs, Table Numbers, Seating Chart and Donation Cards. Stay tuned for their Thank You card very soon!

Seaside Sophistication
Taryn and Marvin's June wedding will be at the gorgeous water-side Belle Mer in Newport, Rhode Island. Taryn loved the "Fleur-de-Lis" design but wanted to change the color scheme, so we introduced silver raised ink, pale blush ribbon, soft silver vellum belly band and a lovely cardstock backing that has an iridescent sheen to it. The result is a unique and elegant design that reflect the couple's personality and the refined simplicity of the wedding location.

Luxe Lavender

Hello there, sorry for the lack of posts - we've been super busy these days completing some couture wedding invitation orders. I will be sure to post our recent work so you can see what we've been up to.
To start off, I'd like to show you the custom "Glamorous" design that we did for Jasmin & Sean's August 8th wedding. Their colour scheme is shades of lilac & purple and gold & silver & "bling" accents (of course!). This SUPER luxurious wedding is going to be held in a castle, so their invitation had to really reflect that! Their invitation was sent to their guests in a mailing box with custom calligraphy and a custom monogram that we designed especially for them.
Once you open the mailing box, you'll see the monogram sticker and the deep purple tissue paper "wrap". The silvery-lavender Dupioni silk gate-fold invitation box had a lilac satin Midori ribbon band and "bling" buckle surrounding it. Inside was gold raised ink printed on shimmery lilac cardstock. Their Reply, Directions cards were tucked into the pockets of each of the flaps of the box. Stay tuned for more reception item photos as we get closer to their wedding date!

Bride & Bloom {Summer '08}
Christmas came early for us today...we are so excited to show you the photos from the new Summer '08 "The Bride & Bloom" Magazine! First of all, we have the editorial from the "Asian Contemporary" piece where we designed the Asian-inspired invitation in a gold silk box, and coordinating menu, favor tag, table name and place cards. Faire La Fete Productions' Gabrielle Tucker's creative vision was pure eye candy!
As part of another feature in the magazine, the editors developed a creative piece about taking inspiration from movies and creating fabulous wedding themes around them.
We had the "Eternity" design from our Prestige Collection featured as part of the Cinderella Classic-inspired wedding...
Then we had our "Tiffany" silk box invitation featured as part of the Breakfast at Tiffany's Upscale Chic-inspired wedding....
And last but not least, we created our newest invitation design "Starlet" (my personal fave at the moment!) from the Prestige Collection specifically for the Some Like it Hot - Sexy-inspired layout.
We are so thrilled to be a part of this gorgeous and inspiring magazine, you've got to get yourself a copy of Bride & Bloom asap!

Happy Spring!
Yeah! Can you believe it's Spring? (finally!) and to start the new season off right, I'm going to feature a couple of Spring-inspired custom designs that we just completed for two May '08 weddings. We will feature their full wedding stories in some future posts (so stay tuned!).
Lauren & Todd's custom wedding invitations were inspired by fresh Spring florals in shades of pink with bright green accents. This is their colour scheme for the entire wedding, Lauren also wanted to incorporate a bit of "bling" (of course!) into the design and we came up with a floral-wreath inspired monogram with "L & T" for them to be used throughout their wedding stationery on menus, place cards, etc.
For Christina & Nathan's custom design, they requested soft pink and sage green tones and wanted some ivory shades to create a feeling of a soft sunset or candle light. They are having an outdoor wedding surrounded by trees, so we incorporated a tree motif into their monogram to add an illustrative element.
So, if you find yourself stuck on deciding on a color scheme, look no further than your own backyard. Mother Nature is THE best artist out there, just look to the natural world for your inspiration and you just can't go wrong!

Julie & Art

Julie and Art were married at the historical Liberty Grand in Toronto. Their invitations were designed using the layout of "Parisienne" and we customized it by changing the black satin ribbon to a warm burgundy shade. We also designed their coordinating Save-the-Dates, Menus, Ceremony Programs and Favour Tags which were attached to charming "XO" cookie favours.

Courtney & Graydon

Courtney and Graydon are such a sweet couple, they met on the first day of French class in High School and the rest is romance history! We had the pleasure of working with them on all of their wedding stationery needs from the Save-the-Dates, Invitations, Thank You cards - and everything in between. They were married at the stately Angus Glen Golf & Country Club in Markham. Their colour scheme was elegant ivory with a rich chocolate brown, we created a custom invitation for them using an ivory shimmery cardstock on a brown linen texture cardstock which was carried over to all their coordinating items.
