What a way to start the day! I turned on CityTv's Breakfast Television - Toronto this morning to see our friend and wedding planner extraordinaire Cindy Johnson from Platinum Events Group chatting with Dina on TV about our luxury destination weddings and our wedding invitations! Cindy was showing our new luxury wedding invitation "Golden Palm" in a gold silk box with crystal buckle and inside the invitation has a gold palm tree motif, seahorses and a monogram in a shell....to top it all off it has a tiny pearl inside the shell. We love you Cindy! Stay tuned for close-up photos of the invite to come this week!

Charu & Bryan

Charu and Bryan wanted a luxurious custom invitation design featuring a Dupioni silk folio in a rich garnet shade and accents in gold and black. In designing a decorative motif for their invitation, we were inspired by traditional Mehndi designs drawn in henna on the brides' hands to celebrate the event. We designed 2 different Ceremony Programs as they had both a Hindu and a Christian ceremony, and a Menu printed in gold raised printing on shimmery ivory cardstock. This elegant couple obviously loves candy because they had an extensive candy bar with cute pink paper bags (to hold all the sweet goodies) with personalized metallic gold stickers which we also designed for them. Their wedding was coordinated by the talented Melissa from One Fine Day Events and their stunning wedding photography was by Click Photo Co.

For more from Charu & Bryan's wedding, go to our website and go to "Gallery" and then "Featured Weddings."

Fit for a Princess

On August 8th, Sean & Jasmin were married at Casa Loma in Toronto - a gorgeous historical landmark with equally stunning grounds. Remember the lavender dupioni silk boxed invitations we designed for them? We also designed their custom Monogram (if you look closely, you see it carved into the Ice Bar), Table Name cards, Menus, Favor Tags, Place Cards (note the beautiful calligraphy) and Seating Charts. I just received some photos from their wedding planner, the oh-so-talented Cynthia Martyn and a couple from their very creative floral and decor designer Rachel A. Clingen. At the moment these are the only photos from their big day, stay tuned for future posts with more eye candy for you!

Garnet Glamour

Here is another of our recent designs - Charu and Bryan wanted something very special for their weddings invitation, they wanted it to be a gift to their guests. We ended up with a unique custom design featuring a garnet red Dupioni silk folio with gold satin ribbon and "bling" jewel and inside was the invitation and stacked reply and information cards. The invitation was printed with black raised ink on gold cardstock. We based design motif on the Mehndi designs that are painted on the bride's hands with henna ink in Hindu wedding tradition.

Luxe Lavender

Hello there, sorry for the lack of posts - we've been super busy these days completing some couture wedding invitation orders. I will be sure to post our recent work so you can see what we've been up to.

To start off, I'd like to show you the custom "Glamorous" design that we did for Jasmin & Sean's August 8th wedding. Their colour scheme is shades of lilac & purple and gold & silver & "bling" accents (of course!). This SUPER luxurious wedding is going to be held in a castle, so their invitation had to really reflect that! Their invitation was sent to their guests in a mailing box with custom calligraphy and a custom monogram that we designed especially for them.

Once you open the mailing box, you'll see the monogram sticker and the deep purple tissue paper "wrap". The silvery-lavender Dupioni silk gate-fold invitation box had a lilac satin Midori ribbon band and "bling" buckle surrounding it. Inside was gold raised ink printed on shimmery lilac cardstock. Their Reply, Directions cards were tucked into the pockets of each of the flaps of the box. Stay tuned for more reception item photos as we get closer to their wedding date!

Bride & Bloom {Summer '08}

Christmas came early for us today...we are so excited to show you the photos from the new Summer '08 "The Bride & Bloom" Magazine! First of all, we have the editorial from the "Asian Contemporary" piece where we designed the Asian-inspired invitation in a gold silk box, and coordinating menu, favor tag, table name and place cards. Faire La Fete Productions' Gabrielle Tucker's creative vision was pure eye candy!

As part of another feature in the magazine, the editors developed a creative piece about taking inspiration from movies and creating fabulous wedding themes around them.

We had the "Eternity" design from our Prestige Collection featured as part of the Cinderella Classic-inspired wedding...

Then we had our "Tiffany" silk box invitation featured as part of the Breakfast at Tiffany's Upscale Chic-inspired wedding....

And last but not least, we created our newest invitation design "Starlet" (my personal fave at the moment!) from the Prestige Collection specifically for the Some Like it Hot - Sexy-inspired layout.

We are so thrilled to be a part of this gorgeous and inspiring magazine, you've got to get yourself a copy of Bride & Bloom asap!

New Silk Designs

Introducing the newest additions to our "Prestige Collection" - the sparkly "Blush Champagne" features a silk backing, Imported Italian shimmer cardstock in a pearly white, satin ribbon belly band in a shade of blush and a brilliant crystal buckle.

The rich "Truffle" design has a brown silk backing, Imported Italian shimmer cardstock in an ivory shade and matching brown ink printing. These two new designs are super practical too, as they both have a cute pocket on the silk backing to neatly hold the Reply card, Reply Envelope and Directions card.

Please note that the colours of the silk backings and silk boxes can be completely customized, we have over 200 different swatches to choose from - just email us the image (dress, flowers, etc.) that you are trying to coordinate with and we'll use our expertise to match it! Just keep in mind to place your order early, as it takes our supplier about 4 weeks to create your custom backing or box. Cardstock, ribbon and ink can also be customized to create that unique and original design that is totally you!
